Actually it rained the whole time almost, and the water was insanely full of algae, and I sprained my ankle, but we drank a lot of margaritas and even more rum, so it was awesome. Ain't nothin' like Waffle House at 3:30 in the morning after a couple hours at the bar.
I'm taking my blue-haired freakness to Florida for a weekend with the girls. Woohoo! It's the GotTwinz Gathering 2008! I'll be back on Monday. Later peeps.
What do you get when 16 moms of twins leave the kids (and hubbies) home and party it up together for a weekend? I think the city needed therapy when we were done haha. We had soooooo much fun. It was completely nuts. I practically had pineapple-and-rum poured down my throat by the pint. Yum. I can't even remember some of what happened Saturday night, but I do remember Spudsie flashing us her nursing boobs haha. It was a much wilder weekend than the GotTwinz New York trip. Navy Pier is an interesting place, you can buy vodka-soaked shave ice (snow cones). I did miss my boys, but I had so much fun I hardly had time to miss them. They tell me they didn't miss me. Daddy fed them donuts for dinner Sunday night, and McDonalds on Saturday, so I can see why they think Dad rules. I was hoping he'd manage some potty-training but he didn't even manage to pick up the house at all. Typical.
I'm upgrading the GotTwinz forums to the latest version tonight, so the board will be down for a while. Hopefully not long.
Tomorrow I'm going to buy us some new furniture! Woot! A new bed (mattress, headboard, etc), and a sofa and loveseat. We reaaaaaaaaaaaaalllly need a new bed, ours is just shot. We wake up achy and tired every day. So let's all just hope we'll be able to pay this off when the tax return hits.

So this is me. I'm in my 5th semester of grad school at the University of Tennessee's School of Information Science. Getting my master's. My bachelor's is in archaeology from Brigham Young University. I'm Mormon, married for 5.5 years, and have identical twin boys who will be 2 next week. I'm a Pisces. I'm an administrator at GotTwinz, a website for parents of twins. Forums, chats, fun stuff to talk about and good friends. I spend way too much time online. I'm a big Harry Potter fan. I used to belly dance professionally and teach dance classes but haven't since I had the twins and started grad school (not surprisingly).
I love and adore Terry Pratchett. If you haven't read his Discworld series, do so immediately. The witches of Lancre and the Watch of Ankh-Morpork are my favorites, although I do love all of his books. I'm also a big George R. R. Martin "Song of Ice and Fire" fan, although he infuriates me with his lengthy writing process. PUBLISH DANCE WITH DRAGONS ALREADY DUDE! We've all been waiting for years. I used to love and adore Laurell K Hamilton's Anita Blake series but not anymore, she's just in a huge downward spiral of suckiness in all books past Obsidian Butterfly. Very disappointing.
I'm currently in a chick-piano-rock kind of music phase, where Vienna Teng, Regina Spektor, Missy Higgins, and this one Vanessa Carlton song "Half a Week Before the Winter" are on constant repeat in my iTunes, with of course Tori Amos. Tori rules. I have some pretty broad-ranging music tastes. I listen to Hawaiian music, French pop, opera, Broadway, Irish, punk, rock, rap, it just depends on my mood.
I don't watch a lot of tv. As long as I don't miss Lost or Grey's Anatomy, it doesn't matter much to me. I used to love Smallville cause I have a huge Superman fetish, but since I started watching Lost I find Smallville less appealing. Sayid is so damn hot. He needs to have more screen time this season.
